Association of Canadian Mountain Guides (virtual) annual general meeting November 30, 2020 15:00 18:00 MST

The Association of Canadian Mountain Guides will hold their annual general meeting on November 30, 2020, from 15:00 to 18:00 mountain standard time. This year’s meeting will be virtual due to the current health crisis and will take place on the Zoom platform.

The 2020 ACMG annual meetings will be no different than previous years other than it will be conducted virtually. All meetings, clinics, courses, socials, will be available through the Zoom platform only. The AGM is accessible to all ACMG members, stakeholders, and partners of the association. It is important to register prior to attending a meeting as only those registered will be able to access the meeting by receiving a code after online registration which can be done through agm.registration.ca. For those who can not attend this year’s AGM, a recorded version of the meeting will be accessible on our website: acmg.ca. Please allow up to a week for the recording to get posted. Various clinics and courses will be happening throughout the entire day on November, 30. Specific times and topics of classes will be found on the ACMG website, as well as a “frequently asked questions” section where further information can be accessed. The award celebration will start at the end of the official AGM meeting, at 18:00 MST. To facilitate virtual social gatherings, the ACMG will put in place several Zoom meeting rooms dedicated to socializing. They will be accessible from 09:00 to 21:00 MST on November 30, 2020. Like each year, the ACMG will hold a silent auction which will begin on November 27, and end on December 1st, 2020. Many prizes can be won, the auction will be conducted virtually through the following link: acmg.silentauction.ca. A detailed event schedule is accessible on our website. Once again the official AGM meeting will happen on November 30, from 15:00 to 18:00 MST.

The ACMG is a not-for-profit association that provides training and assessment for mountain guides, ski guides, hiking guides, and climbing instructors. The ACMG sets technical industry standards for professional guiding certifications. The association represents 1500 members throughout Canada and is a proud member of the International Federation of Mountain Guides Association.
